CHECKLIST:

  • Complete this form and fax it back to our office at 403.242.9066 or visit us online at www.mardaloopbrz.ca for online registration. You will receive an email confirmation along with an invitation to the Volunteer Orientation BBQ Kick-off (date TBD).
  • Day of the event, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your shift at the Volunteer Headquarters (Mac’s Convenience Store parking lot on 20th Street and 33rd Avenue S.W. (near the East entrance to the Festival)). All Festival participants are encouraged to walk, cycle or take public transit to the Festival. (For Public Transit, the Number 7 Bus stops on 33rd Avenue).

  • Remember that the Festival goes on rain or shine. Please bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen and appropriate clothing.

  • All registered volunteers will receive an invitation to our Volunteer Orientation BBQ Kick-off (date to be determined). For those unable to attend, your Team Captains will brief you prior to your shift beginning day of the event.

The following volunteer opportunities are available. Please check one of the following:

I am interested in becoming a Team Leader / Captain: for the

*A few volunteer hours may be required by Team Captains prior to the day of the event

Set up & Take down Team - this team assists with the setting up and dismantling entertainment stages, vendor tables and tents.
Sign me up as a volunteer for the 5:30am to 10:00am shift or the 4:00pm to 7:00pm shift

Volunteer Concierge - this team assists with all volunteer issues, including registration, food and beverages, running errands, and volunteer tent supplies.
Sign me up as a volunteer for the 6:00am to 12:30pm shift or the 12:00pm to 6:00pm shift

VENDOR CONCIERGE - This team assists the Vendor Coordinator with assisting vendors with questions, ensuring tents and weights meet City requirements, checking for vendor licenses, and providing general assistance to Festival vendors.

Eco Alley Green Team - This team assists in the ECO Alley BRZ booth and its annual “going green” promotion, including set-up and take down.
Sign me up as a volunteer for the 9:00am to 1:00pm shift or the 1:00pm to 6:00pm shift

Krewes (Street Marshals) - This team assists with directing traffic during move-in/move-out, monitoring street barricades, greeting vendors, handing out Festival Programs and assisting with set-up and take-down if required.
Sign me up as a volunteer for the 6:00am to 12:30pm shift 12:00pm to 6:00pm shift

Get Fit In The Loop - This team assists with the GET FIT IN THE LOOP, including passing out Health Check Road Map cards, greeting visitors, running errands and delivering supplies

Recreation Area -This team assists with set-up and take down, errands and ensuring the area practices a safe and welcoming environment.

Kids Quarter - This team assists Kidsport Foundation with set-up and take-down, and managing the area.
